Mahalo to Ben, Trevor, Gianna, Dominique and Heidi for joining me today for a wonderful REEF survey. Big MAHALO to Terry for watching our gear while we snorkeled! Luckily the rain stopped just in time and surprisingly, the water was amazingly clear and warm. I would have to say today was the best snorkeling conditions I have ever encountered in the Waikīkī Marine Life Conservation District.
I not only saw two huge Bluefin Trevally and a large Whitemouth Moray Eel, but I also encountered three fish I have never seen in Waikīkī before: Barred Filefish, Black Durgon and Bullethead Blenny. You can look up pictures of these fish on Keoki and Yuko Stender’s webpage: Marine Life Photography
