World Ocean Day is Today!

Celebrate the Ocean!  If you have time, check out the Waikiki Aquarium, where they will be hosting all kinds of activities in celebration of World Ocean Day!

Activities at the Waikiki Aquarium include:

State’s Storm Water Management Program, 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
Guests will enjoy interactive activities and educational displays on how to keep storm drains free of pollution.

American Underwater Products, 11:30 a.m.
The innovative company will present their newest underwater gear, the Enviropro BC that uses materials that are quickly decontaminated, providing a healthier environment for marine life. The company will also give away a set of snorkel gear.

Moi Release, 12 noon
Immediately following the American Underwater Products presentation, the Waikiki Aquarium will conduct a public moi release.

Waikiki Aquarium staff will also clean Kaimana Beach fronting The New Otani Kaimana Beach Hotel. In addition, staff from Duke’s Waikiki will tackle marine debris in their area and fill up a Matson’s Ka Ipu ‘Ãina container. The proceeds they receive from their clean up will be generously donated to the Waikiki Aquarium
